Police have named the man who died following an incident on Lake Crescent in Hamilton last Thursday and are appealing for sightings of a specific vehicle linked to the inquiry.
Detective Inspector Daryl Smith said the victim was 55-year-old Jason Poa, also known as Jason Tipene.
Emergency services were called to a Lake Crescent address at about 6:15pm on Thursday 18 December. Two people were found injured; Mr Poa died at the scene. The second victim was taken to Waikato Hospital in serious condition.
As part of the homicide investigation, Police are seeking sightings of a Subaru Impreza hatchback with the registration KZH714.
