Police have arrested a 54-year-old patched gang member after shots were exchanged at a West Huntly address on Thursday evening.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott McKenzie said a group of men armed with firearms approached a Cobham Crescent property at about 7pm. After a verbal altercation with people inside the house, a shot was fired from within the address toward the group. The group then returned fire into the house. No injuries were reported.
A search warrant was executed at a Huntly address this morning, where the 54-year-old was taken into custody. He is charged with discharging a firearm at a person and participating in an organised criminal group, and is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court on 6 April.
